Corporate Social Responsibility

"Corporate Social Responsibility is the continuing commitment by business to behave ethically and contribute to economic development while improving the quality of life of the workforce and their families as well as of the local community and society at large." [The World Business Council for Sustainable Development in its publication "Making Good Business Sense" by Lord Holme and Richard Watts]

We interweave our CSR programme all throughout our projects. A great example is the Alliance Team Effectiveness Study 2009/2010, which is an online questionnaire where the last question asks the participant to which charity the survey sponsor should donate money. In total, 900 euros will be distributed among three NGOs.

In 2010 we have donated 1000+ euros to charity, and in 2011 we continued to support small NGOs in developing countries. We do this through our partnership with Dutch Comfort.

Friend-in-Need Trust (FIN), also called Association Un-Ami in France, seeks to facilitate the development and adoption of innovations in the form of new technology, new structures, new management routines and new social norms, to attain environmental and socio-economic security in the rural villages and urban slums of India. Daigu is a FIN Guardian Angel.

KG Dostor (literally: Kyrgyzstan friends) is a group of young people from Kyrgyzstan involved in well-being projects such as improving the quality of life for the elderly, restabilizing Osh after the violent conflicts in 2010, and offering support to the orphans of Aksuu.

O Sal da Terra is the name of a day-care centre that provides care for the poorest children in a favela (a slum) in Jardim Campinas, Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The Phil Fonds Foundation supports children in the Philippines with a handicap in (special) education also we support the starting of educational- and well-being projects for these children.
